Photo Shoot For Woodland Wedding Hire

I was delighted this week to be able to go and meet Heidi from Woodland Wedding Hire, a brand new company that offers beautiful wooden county/rustic items to hire or to buy to make stunning and unique displays for your event. I have not seen anything like this before in the UK and was very excited to see everything in person.

I headed up to Malvern and we took the items off into the countryside to find a suitable location which would complement them beautifully and we decided on the edge of a corn field. So here are a few photos from the shoot:

These really are stunning items and a fantastic idea, there are so many possibilities from Spring to Winter weddings they would make a unique display and talking point for your special day. If you would like more information on hiring/buying any of these items then pop over to the Woodland Wedding Facebook page.

I wish Heidi all the success with this as personally I think it is unique, creative and fresh and I would certainly have been interested if they were around when we got married last year!

Dave & Becky

After all the thunderstorms and heavy rain, we were all keeping our fingers crossed for Dave and Becky that Sunday would be a lovely day and they would be able to get married outside! The Venue was Rowton Castle in Shrewsbury, a really stunning venue with fantastic grounds and one of the best outside ceremony settings I have seen. As luck would have it we woke up on Sunday morning to beautiful blue skies and apart from a few light fluffy clouds it remained that way for the whole day.

I arrived at the venue in plenty of time to captured some beautiful moments during the getting ready time as the guests assembled.

Once everyone was ready it was time to head to the ceremony which was held in the gardens in a beautiful setting and time to see Dave's face as he saw Becky (looking stunning) walking down the aisle.

The ceremony was really beautiful and afterwards we all had mini ice creams while the photos were being taken, such a wonderful idea that went down so well with adults and children alike! After the reception and speeches it was time to cut the cake and have the first dance, a lovely way to round off a stunning day. Here's just a couple more photos from the day, but you can see plenty more in the album on Facebook.

I would like to wish Dave and Becky all the very best for this new chapter in their lives together may it be filled with love, adventure and plenty of happiness.

Richard & Amy

The wedding of Richard and Amy was to be a very personal occasion. The couple (with the help of friends and family) organised and made everything themselves from the decorations to the wedding dress and cake. The ceremony was held on Amy's parents farm in Devon outside in a truly beautiful setting right next to a large pond overlooking fields on every side. Although the day was a relaxed affair it encompassed everything that is Richard and Amy and their love for each other from a hand made wooden ring box, to a horse drawn cart bringing the wedding party to the ceremony, here are just a few photographs capturing those moments from the day.

I would like to wish Richard and Amy all the happiness, joy and love for this new chapter of their lives together.

You can see more photos from the day on my Facebook Page

I'm very happy to say that my brand new website is now up and running and I will be adding more photos to it in the coming weeks.

Meagen & Matthew

I was very happy to be invited to celebrate Meagen and Matthew's wedding at the Blue Moonlight Lodge in South Africa last month. I have know Meagen and the family for many many years and they are very much my second family so it was my pleasure to be able to take some wonderful photos of their special day.

The wedding was very much a family affair and we all arrived at the

venue on Friday night for a big family braai and a few drinks before heading to bed. Early Saturday morning a group of us took of for a game drive of the Dinokeng Game Reserve before all the preparations began. After a quick shower and bite to eat I went off to find the girls and start capturing those behind the scenes moments of getting ready.

Having never photographed a wedding before in South Africa I can honestly say the afternoon autumn light was perfect for some outside shots of the bridesmaids with the sun back lighting them and it was smiles all round!

The time had come, so I went off to make sure everyone was seated and ready whilst the Tammy & Joanne, Meagan and William made their way down to the lake which was where the ceremony took place.

Huge congratulations to a stunning couple Meagen and Matthew and I wish you all the love and happiness in the world.
